Walking

Someone is walking...

She is very proud of herself!

In other news, we are finally all recovered from the flu. Hopefully, springtime is just around the corner, and we can say, "Good riddance!" to another flu season.

Flu

We have been hit with the flu virus this week! First Lucy had it, and now Alice is sick. We managed to have school yesterday and today, but I have been allowing some extra screen time and letting the girls sleep as much as they want. They are a pretty pitiful sight.

I hope you all stay healthy, and don't forget to get a flu shot! Even though my girls had the flu, it was much more mild and only lasted a few days, as opposed to weeks. Thank goodness!

Christmas 2019

Happy New Year! I never posted our photos from Christmas, but better late than never!

This was our second year of matching family pj's, so I think it's officially a tradition now.

Aren't we cute.

My Grandmere's Buche de Noel... I miss her so much, but this family tradition always makes me feel close to her.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year in 2020!

10th Anniversary

On December 19, 2019, Morgan and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. 10 years!!!!

To celebrate, we went on a little getaway to Savannah, Georgia, which we visited together way back when we were dating. Savannah is such a beautiful city with such a rich history, and it also happened to be decorated for Christmas, which was magical.

This is the beautiful square where we stayed in a historic row house.

For our anniversary dinner, we went to The Grey, an old Greyhound bus station that has been converted into a retro-hip foodie heaven. We got the ribeye for two, because when you are married, you share expensive steaks soaked in butter, and clog your arteries together.

The next day, we walked around the historic district and down to the river, where even the river boats were all decked out in their holiday finest.

That afternoon, we had tea at the Gryphon, which is in a historic building that was once a pharmacy.  (Pinky out, Morgan, sheesh!)

That night we went on a ghost tour / dark history tour around the city. It was freezing, but so much fun!

Look at all that Spanish moss!

The next morning, we went to brunch at Pacci and explored the city some more. That night, we had our favorite dinner at Atlantic. I forgot to take pictures, but it was ah-mazing. I would drive back to Savannah just to eat those bacon-wrapped dates and chickpea cheela. And the bread pudding. Obviously.

We had so much fun eating and walking our way around Savannah. Can't wait to go back!
