Nutcracker Ballet

This year, Lucy got to participate in her ballet studio's production of The Nutcracker. She was a little mouse!

This was Lucy's first time being in a big production like this. She worked extremely hard, with rehearsals five days / week and five performances in two days. I am so proud of her! 

Lucy loved it so much, she told me that she wants to be in not one, but TWO, dances next year!

Thanksgiving

This year, over Thanksgiving break, we traveled to Edisto Island, South Carolina for a wedding. Even though the weather was a little chilly for swimming, it was sunny and beautiful.

After an extremely relaxing Thanksgiving holiday, we are back to reality. This week, Lucy will be performing in her ballet studio's production of The Nutcracker, and next week we will have end-of-term exams. What do exams look like when you don't have tests or grades? That is a separate post for another time! :)

Happy Birthday, Esme!

Sweet Esme Rose turned one last month. This was a bittersweet milestone. Esme's first year of life feels like it has flown by! It really does feel like yesterday that she was born.

To celebrate Esme's birthday, we had a little family party with cake and presents...

I made Esme a carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Though not initially impressed, I think she was a fan.

She had lots of help from her sisters and cousins!

We love you so much, Esme! You bring so much joy and laughter to our family, and I am beyond honored to be your mama.
