Now that Lucy is really starting to talk, she is saying some pretty funny things. For example...
"Hey, Man!" (when talking on her pretend cell phone)
When we ask her a question, she sometimes responds by saying, "Um...", and thinking for a moment.
"Amen!" (after we say the blessing or bedtime prayers)
At night, before Lucy goes to bed, she says "bye" to every single object that catches her eye. This includes the dogs, her toys, the potty, and her books. She calls each of them by name. For example, she has a book titled Farm Friends. So, before bed, she will walk around the house, saying, "Bye, dogs. Bye, potty. Bye, wabbit. Bye, blocks. Bye, Farm Friends."
Lucy is very affectionate, and she loves to give kisses. Or "tisses", as she calls them.
She knows the names of almost every animal, and she does a better elephant sound than I do!
When we go to the playground, Lucy will run up to a random child and say, "Hi, friend!"
I have walked in on Lucy playing with her toys and carrying on conversations with them. Once, she was playing with her baby doll, feeding her a bottle, and she said, "More, please. Thank you." Then she pretended to check the baby's diaper and said, "Baby poo poo."
Our girl always makes us laugh. I can't believe how big she is getting!
