When I posted about Lucy's nursery
a few months ago, I couldn't help feeling that it just wasn't finished. But, since I was busy adjusting to life with a newborn, I didn't care / have time to do anything about it.
Now that Lucy is older, I have a little more free time (but not really), and I have learned so much more about Lucy's little personality. I've tried to take her personality into account while putting some finishing touches on her room. I want this room to be a place where she loves to hang out. I want it to feel whimsical and fun, but also soothing...

We decided to paint the bed white. The original color was not my style, and it just looked way too formal for a little girl's room. Maybe I'll regret it one day, but so far, I do not. The side-table dresser needed a new coat of paint anyway, so we went with a soft gray.
This is the little corner where I rock Lucy to sleep every night. I found a little wire storage bin at Home Goods to hold some of Lucy's books.
The photo hanging over Lucy's crib was taken by our friend
Libby. She took the most beautiful photos of Lucy's
baptism. You should hire her for your next wedding / engagement / Christmas card / birth / any occasion :)
The wood stain on the crib does not go with anything else in the room, but we found out that it's not safe to paint the crib because babies like to chew on things. Just let the record show that I had big, exciting plans for this crib once :)
This shelf hangs over Lucy's dresser / changing table. The baby deer photograph is by
Sharon Montrose.
I'm still working on a couple projects that I can't wait to share when I'm finished. I am very excited about them, even though I suspect I have bitten off more than I can chew at the moment... :)
